Bigstone Cree Nation Water Supply System Upgrading, Wabasca, Alberta
Green Plan Ltd. Environmental Consulting was retained by the Bigstone Cree Nation to conduct an Environmental Screening Assessment (EA) of a proposed potable water supply facility for Reserves 166A, 166B and 166D. The Reserves are located along the South Shore of North Wabasca Lake 120 kilometres northwest of the Town of Slave Lake. The assessment was conducted pursuant to the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA).
Northern Sunrise County and Partners Regional Water System, Peace River, Alberta
Green Plan Ltd. Environmental Consulting was retained by Associated Engineering to conduct a CEAA level Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for a proposed Regional Water Management System near Peace River Alberta. The system consisted of a de-silting pond and high lift pump station; a raw water reservoir and water treatment plant; and 50 kilometre raw water and treated water transmission pipeline.
Pigeon Lake Regional Wastewater Steering Committee, Pigeon Lake, Alberta
Green Plan Ltd. Environmental Consulting was retained by Associated Engineering to conduct an Environmental Overview (EO) for a proposed regional wastewater transmission system near Pigeon Lake, Alberta. The EO was conducted to provide planning criteria for a pre-design study for the Pigeon Lake Regional Wastewater Steering Committee. The planned improvements included a 35 kilometre wastewater transmission line; six pump stations and a treatment plant.
Dene Tha’ First Nation, Meander River Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrade
Green Plan Ltd. Environmental Consulting conducted a FederalScreening Level Environmental Assessment (ESA) for a proposed upgrade to a wastewater treatment plant for Dene Tha’ First Nation (DTFN)- Meander River settlement on the Upper Hay River Reserve #212, approximately 75 kilometres north of High Level. The original plant (installed in 1984) had been operating in excess of its hydraulic design capacity and was unable to meet the requirements listed in the Guidelines for Effluent Quality and Wastewater Treatment at Federal Establishments.The new plant was designed to meet the federal guidelines in respect to inter alia TSS, BOD, pH, phenols, nutrients and pathogenic organisms.
