Shanaye Simpson is an Environmental Technician with Green Plan, and contributes to a variety of projects including sand and gravel, construction monitoring and wetland projects. These projects include supporting project managers from field work, all the way to government approvals. Her technical skills include field data collection and entry, wildlife sweeps, report writing, GIS analysis, and assisting with government approvals and permits.

She has worked on projects all over Alberta and Northern BC including BC Hydro’s Site C dam project, CN bank stabilization, and Trans Mountain pipeline projects.  Her newest professional endeavours include expanding her skillset and knowledge about wetlands from desktop to field delineations WAIR reports, and regulatory approvals.

Shanaye has earned a diploma in Land and Water Resources with a major in Reclamation and Remediation from Olds College.

In her free time, Shanaye loves the outdoors and spends her free time working with her two German Shepherds, hiking, camping, boxing and practicing yoga.
