Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Lethbridge with a Professional Agrologist (P.Ag) Designation

Environmental Science Diploma in Reclamation and Remediation from Olds College.

Alexis Kambeitz is an Environmental Scientist and Regulatory Advisor with Green Plan. Alexis has experience in both the private and public sectors, and brings a balance of environmental, economic and social considerations to any opportunity. Her previous work experience was with Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP), as a Water Approval Technologist and an Environmental Protection Officer (EPO).

These experiences has provided her with both an insight into the Water Act and the associated regulations and codes of practice but also an understanding and rapport with AEP staff. The value she brings in her current role is the ability to determine the regulatory requirements and pathway for our clients. For example, applications for approvals, licences, amendments and transfers under the Water Act, but also the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, and the Alberta Public Lands Act. Throughout this experience she has became proficient in the Onestop application process and look forward to gaining experience with the new Digital Regulator Assurance System (DRAS). She has been able to assists clients in resolving Non-Compliance concerns, to meet regulatory standards. She has experience with report writing and regulatory documents to assist with project management. She also has acquired broad technical experience that has allowed her to be comfortable with field monitoring and welcomes the opportunity to develop these abilities further.

She prides herself on her organizational skills that keep a project efficient and on schedule. This is necessary when managing a large, and challenging workload, which can require extensive department, contractor, and stakeholder communication.

Alexis has a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Lethbridge, an Environmental Science Diploma in Reclamation and Remediation from Olds College and her Professional Agrologist designation. Her career goal is to become a Wetland Practitioner. Therefore, she understand the importance for continued education to obtain this goal and has taken the Wetland Delineation, Classification and Assessment course and am currently enrolled in the Alberta Wetland Rapid Evaluation Tool course.
