Eztiaan Groenewald is an Aquatic Biologist with over 9 years of professional experience and 6 years of consulting experience in the environmental sector. He is a Qualified Aquatic Environment Specialist (QAES) who has extensive experience leading field investigations of fish, fish habitat, and water quality related to linear and land developments projects in the oil and gas sector, though he also has experience leading aquatic field programs for clients in the mining, power, and transportation sectors throughout western and northern Canada. Eztiaan has also acted as the lead environmental monitor providing construction support during a variety of projects including geotechnical drilling, railway repair and construction, pipeline construction, road construction, and culvert repair and installation.
Eztiaan’s technical skills include field data collection, data analysis and interpretation, technical report writing, and environmental construction support. These skills are applied to projects that require environmental baseline assessments (i.e., fisheries, wetland, benthic invertebrate, zooplankton, phytoplankton, epiphytic algae, and water quality); construction monitoring, wetland monitoring, and fish rescue operations.
